Overview

Machu Picchu is one of the most renowned sacred sites in the world. The journey begins with a bus ride, followed by a scenic train trip that follows the course of the Urubamba River into the lush cloud forest surrounding Machu Picchu. Along the way, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the Andes Mountains and the ever-changing landscapes that make this route so memorable.

Itinerary

Day 1SACRED VALLEY:

This wonderful tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel at 8:30 am. to start our journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, during our visit we made stops at the viewpoints of Ccorao and Taray also visit the typical Pisac market and the archaeological complex of Pisac, where we find Inca constructions of great importance that served as adaptation area for some typical products of the Incas. Then we will continue to the city of URUBAMBA where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch in a tourist restaurant, we will continue our journey to the archaeological complex of OLLANTAYTAMBO. At approximately 16:36 hrs. or 19:00 hrs. We will board the train from Ollantaytambo station to Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night. (Optionally, we can take advantage of the hot springs in the city of Aguas Calientes).

Day 2MACHU PICCHU:

Very early after breakfast at the hotel, we take the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu, arriving at the citadel we see the enigmatic beauty and unique example of architectural and hydraulic perfection of one of the 7 Wonders of the World we will have a guided tour of approximately 2 hours , where we will see the Main Square, the Circular Tower, Intihuatana, Reales Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows and the Cemetery, which are then given free time to stroll around the citadel. You will have the entire morning in Machu Picchu to take pictures and enjoy this mystical place. Then we will go down by bus to the city of Aguas Calientes, to have a quiet lunch and then we will return by train to Ollantaytambo, where our tourist transport awaits us for the city of Cusco, and then we will transfer to your hotel.
